Lamb Cake

Lamb Cake

Pound cake made from scratch. This will make about 4 small lamb molds.

350 degree/ about 55 minutes

3 cups of flour
¼ teasp. Salt
2 teasp. Baking powder

Mix this together in a bowl and set aside.

1 cup butter
1# powder sugar or 4 1/4 cups
4 egg yolks / set aside the whites
1 cup milk
1 teasp. Vanilla
1 cup of coconut or not your preference.

Cream butter and powder sugar till fluffy add 1 egg yolk at a time, than the vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with the milk. Add the coconut. If you don’t have an extra mixer pour this better into a bowl and wash the bowl to whip the egg whites till stiff. Fold the egg whites into the batter till mixed through. Pour batter into a Well-greased lamb mold, that would be the nose portion of the mold. Place the top on which is the back side of the lamb mold, than place on a cookie sheet and bake; 350 degrees for about 55 min.take top off to check for doness. If it springs back to touch than take it out and let set for about 3 min. and remove from mold to finish cooling, than decorate lamb with Squeeze n’ Easy Vanilla Dream or Almond Delight custard frosting!!!
